Portland's hipster population managed to celebrate in an equally non-ironic matter. There was genuine earnestness in the air on Tuesday night along "LoBu" or whatever they're calling East Burnside west of 45th.
We all stood around the bar in cassidy's listening to Obama's acceptance in awe. It was a beautiful moment.
